About

About me

I am a Nottinghamshire-based watercolour artist with a passion for painting familiar places and scenes that hold meaning for people. My work is inspired by local identity, atmosphere and memory, often focusing on everyday streets, landmarks and spaces connected to home.Alongside my own practice, I also enjoy delivering creative workshops and sharing skills with others, particularly seeing people grow in confidence through art. My recent work includes a mix of personal projects, commissions and community-based artwork, with an ongoing focus on creating work that feels both recognisable and emotionally connected to place.

Open Art Exhibition 2026

Selected for Mansfield Museum & Art Gallery's Open Art Exhibition, this body of work marked a more personal direction within my practice. The paintings reflected a deeply emotional period of family life, created during my wife Lyndsay’s chemotherapy treatment, and explored memory, resilience, love and the quiet moments that carry the most meaning.

Community Diagnostic Centre

I was commissioned to create a series of large-scale paintings for Mansfield’s new Community Diagnostic Centre opening in April 2026 - the first of its kind in Nottinghamshire. The brief was to create artwork that would help connect the space to the local community, something that sits at the heart of my practice. Inspired by recognisable local landmarks and scenes, the work was designed to bring warmth, familiarity and a sense of place into a public healthcare environment.

Landscape Artist of the Year 2026

Being selected as one of 50 wildcard artists for Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2026 was a memorable milestone in my journey as an artist. Painting at St James’s Palace in London, I had the opportunity to meet inspiring artists, push myself creatively, and be part of an incredible experience with a brief appearance on TV along the way plus the all-important wildcard t-shirt
